Developing Bee Venom Therapies for Skin Cancer

We are actively researching bee venom (apitoxin) as a potential treatment for skin cancer while harvesting high-purity apitoxin from 2,000+ managed hives in Florida. From our lab in Alachua we supply research-grade bee venom to biotech, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic companies — whether you need a small R&D sample or a full commercial order.

Our Dual Focus

Therapeutic Research

Actively investigating bee venom and its key compounds (including melittin) for the treatment of skin cancer. Our internal research program is supported by a controlled, high-volume source of research-grade apitoxin.

Commercial Supply

We supply ethically harvested, temperature-controlled, fully traceable bee venom to research labs, pharmaceutical companies, and cosmetic formulators. Flexible volumes available — from early R&D samples to commercial-scale orders.

Non-lethal venom extraction

Bee venom is ethically collected using electrostimulation glass plates that allow bees to deposit apitoxin without injury. Once crystallized, the venom is harvested, weighed, and promptly sealed to maintain purity and quality.

Laboratory-Grade Cold Storage

After collection, apitoxin is transferred to laboratory-grade cold storage at approximately −60°C. Controlled handling and batch tracking help maintain quality and consistency.

Applications Across Industries

Our apitoxin supports cosmetic formulation, pharmaceutical development, and scientific research, providing a high-quality source of bioactive compounds for a wide range of applications.

From Research to Reliable Supply

Florida-Based Scale

Access to thousands of managed hives across Southwest Florida provides a dependable source of raw apitoxin throughout much of the year.

Ethical Beekeeping Standards

Our collection methods prioritize hive health and pollinator stewardship while allowing bees to continue their normal activities.

Traceable Supply Chain

Every batch is documented from collection through laboratory handling, providing transparency and accountability.

Research & Commercial Supply

We support our own skin cancer research program and supply consistent apitoxin to external biotech, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic partners.

Quality-Focused Handling

Temperature-controlled storage and documented procedures help preserve sample integrity throughout processing.

Built for Growth

Our infrastructure is designed to support increasing demand as apitoxin research and commercial applications continue to expand.

Advancing Skin Cancer Research with Bee Venom

We are conducting research into the use of bee venom and its primary bioactive peptide, melittin, as a potential treatment for skin cancer. At the same time, we supply research-grade apitoxin to academic institutions, biotech companies, and cosmetic formulators who are exploring their own applications.

Our vertically integrated model — controlling collection, processing, and quality — gives both our internal research and our commercial partners a consistent, high-quality material source.

Laboratory Processing Partner

BeeCured works with Alchem Laboratories to support analytical testing, characterization, and quality-focused handling of apitoxin after collection.

This partnership allows us to combine large-scale ethical venom collection with professional laboratory support and documented batch traceability.
